Osteopathy
Osteopathy is known as a holistic therapy a system of health care that recognises the relationship between the structure and function of the body.
At Zed Pilates Studio, Zsolt also offers osteopathy. If you have a lifestyle or hobby that puts you at risk, then osteopathic treatment could benefit you by preventing an injury.
Our Approach
Osteopathy aims to restore optimal body function to maintain health, by treating the underlying cause of the symptom. This is also effective for the prevention of future problems. Zsolt see the body as a whole system and osteopathic treatment focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, prevention and rehabilitation of many musculoskeletal disorders.
Using conventional osteopathic techniques - gentle massage, articulation, manipulations - as well as acupuncture, functional exercises and stretches, Zsolt is able to effectively treat a broad range of musculoskeletal conditions. The aim is to restore the body’s natural balance, improve your circulation, to reduce and cure pain and help to restore movement. And movement is life.

What to Expect
The initial consultation begins with a discussion of your current symptoms and a review of your medical history. This is followed by a full postural analysis and mobility testing.
Where indicated, special testing of reflexes, power, sensation and blood pressure will also be undertaken before the patient receives their first treatment.
For effective analysis of joint mobility, muscle tone and postural imbalances you will usually be asked to undress to your underwear. Please bear this in mind when attending your appointment, and feel free to bring a swimsuit or sports kit as an option. You are also welcome to have a friend or relative with you during the examination and treatment if this makes you more comfortable.
